Editorial standards
Boca Health publishes information to help readers understand care options. Educational content cannot replace an individual evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider.
Who is responsible for an article?
Articles identify Boca Health as the publisher. A personal byline appears when an author is recorded. A “medically reviewed” attribution requires a named clinician, a review date, and a documented review of that version. When no named review is recorded, we say so.
Dr. Joseph Palumbo, D.O. is Boca’s Medical Director. That oversight role does not mean he wrote or reviewed every article, or personally treats every patient. Learn how care is delivered.
Evidence and limitations
Medical claims should link to primary research, approved product labeling, or public health authorities. Findings for FDA-approved products must be distinguished from compounded formulations. Animal research is not evidence of a human lifespan benefit. Preliminary findings and uncertainty should be identified explicitly.
Dates and corrections
Publication, substantive updates, and medical review are separate dates. Changing a template does not establish a new clinical review or make an article’s evidence current.
To report an error, email care@joinboca.com with the page URL, the passage in question, and a supporting source. Please do not include private medical information. For personal treatment questions, contact your care provider.
Commercial interests
Boca offers paid telehealth services and has a financial interest in its treatment pages. Boca’s own statements are not independent endorsements. Comparisons and research should identify sources, collection dates, fees, missing data, and material limitations.
